UNION CENTER By Coral Moore Union Center is a beautiful tiny village located at the junction of three state highways, 33, 80 and 82. Surrounded by bluffs, hills and forests, Union Center is a friendly community full of hospitality, services and recreation. The Eagle Parkway Park is situated directly alongside the 400 State Trail offering an excellent place to stop for the many bicyclists and hikers. The Park hosts many events throughout the year with volleyball, basketball or horseshoe pitching taking place each week in the summer. On a quiet street beside the Park is the tranquil and
exquisite St. Theresa's Catholic Church, open 24 hours each day, year round,
with someone in attendance for perpetual adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. The Baraboo River meanders through a nine hole golf course with canoes offered for rent. ![]()
Two major businesses employ nearly 100 individuals. Coupled with the number of small businesses some days the workers in Union Center outnumber the residents. Excellent dining, a restful stay at Garden City Motel, shopping at the liquidation store or a quick purchase at the very busy convenience store offers the traveler a good excuse to stop and visit. Union Center Welcomes You! This section made possible by Garden City Motel & Union Center Tourism Commission. |
